India extends Visa on arrival for 180 countries
In a significant step towards liberalization of the visa regime, the government of India extended visa on arrival and electronic travel authorization (ETA) for all countries. As per ETA, foreign tourists can apply for a visa from home in advance and receive an online confirmation in five working days. This VOA facility will be initially implemented at nine airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Goa and Trivandrum.
This development will drive in huge tourist arrivals from 180 nations*. This visa relaxation policy will be implemented from the next tourist session beginning October. This is a suitable time to book India tour and experience the welcome of the country in full form.
*Eight “prior reference” countries including Pakistan, Iran, Sri Lanka and China are excluded from this VOA scheme.
Kerala Wins United Nations Award for Sustainable Tourism
