Experiencing the serene backwaters of Kerala is a dream of every traveller believing in the powers of nature. Take a voyage in a traditional houseboat that takes you to some unseen facades of nature.
Arrive Cochin in the morning hours. Meeting & assistance upon arrival in Cochin and transfer to hotel for check-in.
Later enjoy city tour of Cochin including visit to the St. Francis Church, where in 1524 the Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama was buried before his Remains to Portugal convicted. For Mattancherry-Palace or Dutch Palace with well-preserved wall paintings and the Jewish synagogue in the city. (Closed on Fridays & Saturdays) and see the Chinese fishing nets. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Breakfast at hotel.
Later proceed to Alleppey to enjoy day cruise of Houseboat for Approx. 4 Hours with Lunch. The traditional Keralan rice boats were converted into comfortable houseboats, ideal for a leisurely cruise through the region’s tropical backwaters. This is a tranquil haven where the visitor can watch rice fields, coconut palms and the activities of day-to-day rural life.
Evening disembark from Houseboat and drive back to Cochin. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Breakfast at Hotel.
Later depart for Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts. above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi- 2695mts). On arrival check-in at hotel.
Rest of the day free to relax at Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast at Hotel, enjoy visit of Munnar. Visit tea Garden to explore the beauty of town, tea museum (remain closed on Mondays) & Mattupatty dam. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Breakfast at Hotel. Later on time drive back to Cochin and directly transfer to Cochin Airport to board flight for onward destination.
