Around 500 Thai devotees participation the joyous religious ceremony celebrating the embossing of the Great Mahabodhi Temple with gold. Mr. Sumit Mathur, an authority promoting Buddhist sites in India worldwide was elated with the recent development. According to him, “the  new, gold-plated spire would  doubtless attract more Buddhists to the temple, especially from Thailand.” More can be read in the article attached below.
