Precious and timeless like a jewel, this Maharajas Express Train route covers the destinations associated with treasured legends of love, chivalry and royalty of Maharajas. Lasting for four days, the Gems of India itinerary revisits the land of love, Agra's Taj Mahal, the wild kingdom of Ranthambore and the city of forts, palaces and luxuriant lifestyle, Jaipur while treating travelers with the luxuries on board.

Day 01 / Saturday Board the Train at Mumbai onto Ajanta (Embark- 1640 hrs)

Board the Train at Mumbai onto Ajanta – After traditional welcome, complete your registration formalities and proceed to board the train. Dinner on board

Day 02 / Sunday Ajanta Caves

Ajanta Caves – Visit the world heritage site of Ajanta Marvel the rock cut caves dating back to 2nd Century B.C. with their exquisite frescoes and sculptures

Day 03 / Monday Udaipur

Udaipur – Admire the magnificent landscape as you arrive into Udaipur. Visit landscape as you arrive into Udaipur. Visit the City palace and Crystal Gallery. Experience traditional hospitality over lunch at an exclusive venue and later proceed for an optional walking tour through the colourful and vibrant Old Market or visit the Vintage car collection of the royal family or enjoy an enthralling Sound and Light show in the Palace.

Day 04 / Tuesday Jodhpur

Jodhpur – A ride through countryside brings you to Jodhpur. Enjoy a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower Market and continue to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort. Later, savour dinner at an exclusive venue. Enjoy visit to a local village as a optional activity.

Day 05 / Wednesday Bikaner

Bikaner – Arrive at the desert kingdom of Bikaner. Take an optional excursion to Deshnok (Rat Temple) or Lalgarh Palace Museum or Camel breeding Farm or Shop for Kundan Jewellery. In the afternoon visit the unassailable fortress of Junagarh. Participate in a camel-cart procession followed by sundowner cocktails, barbecue and folk performance on the sand dunes.

Day 06 / Thursday Jaipur

Jaipur – The 'Pink City' of Jaipur welcomes you with an exhibition elephant polo match and champagne lunch at an exclusive venue. Thereafter, proceed for visit to the impregnable Amber Fort followed by free time for optional activities-shopping/Spa/Golfing/visit to City Palace.

Day 07 / Friday Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore) – Fatehpur Sikri

Ranthambore – Fatehpur Sikri – Embark on an exciting game drive into the Ranthambore National Park. Continue the journey to see the fascinating royal court complex of Fatehpur Sikri.

Day 08 / Saturday Agra – Delhi (Disembark- 1500 hrs)

Agra – Disembark in Agra – Proceed for an early morning visit to the exquisite Taj Mahal followed by champagne breakfast. Continue to Delhi as your journey come to an end.

Maharajas Express tariff for the Gems of India tour has been given below for your kind perusal along with the booking and cancellation policy to help you plan your journey.

# USD 500 per person extra surcharge during Christmas and New Year departures.
# Taxes will be extra as applicable.

• Itineraries, destinations, venues and schedules departure are subject to change without prior notice
• All the above prices are on per person per journey on twin sharing basis
• Supplement will apply for Signature Journey, Special occasions such as a New Year, Christmas etc.

Christmas & New Year, Signature Journey Supplement Chanrges
There will be supplement charge of USD 500 per pax travelling during the tour falling on New Year eve and Christmas.The supplement charge will be applicable for child between 05-12 years also.Supplement charges may be applicable for certain signature journeys as announced by IRCTC from time to time.

Child Policy
Maharajas' Express does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavour to maintain.

• Children below 5 years shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking. However, this is not recommended by us.
• Single child (5 years - 12 years) sharing cabin with adults - 50% of the adult fare, subject to sharing of double bed with two full paid adults. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking. However, this is not recommended by us.OR Single child (5 years - 12 years) in a separate cabin - 50% of the (adult fare + Supplement charges) if requested in a separate cabin.
• Two child (5 years - 12 years) in a separate cabin - 50% of the adult fare for each child in a separate cabin on twin sharing basis.
• Three child (5 years - 12 years) in a separate cabin - 50% of the adult fare for each child subject to sharing of double bed. ORIf third child request in a separate cabin - 50% of the (adult fare + Single Supplement charges)
• Single child (5 years -12 years) + one adult in a separate cabin: - Two adults fare on twin sharing basis.
• Two child (5 years -12 years) + one adult in a separate cabin: - One adult fare plus 50% of the adult fare for each child subject to sharing of double bed.
• Child booking if requested in a separate cabin is subject to travelling with the adults. It is to be noted that single child has to share guide/vehicle with adults travelling together in case of Suite & PS cabin booked pax. In case, a separate higher category vehicle is required then supplement will be levied.
• Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins except in the Presidential Suite Car.
• All applicable taxes will be charged extra.
