India's first luxury train, The Palace on Wheels relives the history of Rajasthan in a grand Maharaja style. The train trails not only through the royal pathways, but the coaches and carriages too had their royal connection. Originally used by the Raja's and Nawabs of the princely states in India, the magnificence and grandeur of the train seem to be beyond any comparison. The train takes a traveler to the erstwhile era of gaudy royalty in the royal state of Rajasthan. The train offers live glimpses of plush luxury reserved only for the exclusive few. The Palace on Wheels is a magnificent way to experience the glorious saga of Rajasthan.
Day 1 - Wednesday: Welcome on board (Delhi)
Departure 6.00 PMBoard Palace On Wheels train from Safdarjung Railway station. You will be welcomed by garlanding and treated like Maharaja & Maharani. Dinner will be served on board in its couple of restaurants. Overnight on board.
Day 2 - Thursday : Jaipur
Arrival 3.45 AM Departure 11.30 PMIn Jaipur, your tour began at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of wind) followed the amazing Jantar Mantar, an Astronomical Observatory. Later proceed to the City Palace now converted to museum of full royal splendor.
Jaipur is well known for its colourful shopping markets.Lunch at Amber Fort. You can ascend the hill top fort by decorated elephant. The fort is best example of splendid fusion of Rajput & Mughal style of Architecture.
Day 3 - Friday, Swai Madhopur
Arrival 5.30 AM Departure 10.30 AMArrvive Sawai Madhopur railway station. Later transfer to Ranthambhore tiger reserve hardly 14 Kms from Sawai Madhopur. Visit 1000 year old Ranthambhore Fort. Enjoy wildlife safari inside the park.
Later board train and proceed to Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort of India, built by Mauriyan rulers during 5th to 8th century. The fort covers an area of 680 acres. Most of the structures inside the fort premises are in ruins.
Day 4 - Saturday, Udaipur
Arrival 8.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM.Spend the day sightseeing at Udaipur, visiting the impressive city palace and other hotspots. After boat-ride proceed to Jaisalmer. Overnight on board.
Day 5 - Sunday, Jaisalmer
Arrival 9.15 AM Departure 11.45 PMJaisalmer is one of the oldest trading centre in the country. Visit its old mansions popularly known as havelies. Nathmalgi Ke Haveli, Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ji Ki Havelies are most striking architecture; a fine blend of ancient & the medieval era. Enjoy sunset camel ride at sand dunes, deep in the thar desert.
Day 6 -Monday, Jodhpur
Arrival 7.00 AM Departure 3.30 PMGrand welcome on arrival and thereafter sightseeing of the Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan Palace. After lunch back to Palace on Wheels, dinner on board.
Day 7 - Tuesday, Bharatpur
Arrival 5.00 AM Departure 8.45 AMArrive Bharatpur, a royal kingdom where the jats ruled. Proceed to the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, one of the finest bird sanctuary in the world.
Tuesday, Agra
Arrival 10.30 AM Departure 11.00 PMAgra, one of the seven wonders of the world. The Taj Mahal built in the memory Mumtaz, Queen of emperor Shah Jahan.
Day 8 - Wednesday, Delhi
Arrival 0600 hrsOn the 8th day of the journey, the Palace on Wheels will land you back in Delhi at Safdarjung Railway Station about 0600 hrs. You will disembark from the train with pleasant memories of the past week.

Note :

» 50% of tariff for children between 5 years and 12 years of age.

» There will be a 10% surcharge levied on the tariff for the trips falling during Christmas and New Year.
Tariff is inclusive of cost of travel and accommodation, catering (morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner), conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments and palaces and cultural entertainment.
Tariff does not include liquor, laundry, video camera and other item of personal nature.
Booking Policy :
a) In case of FITs:-
» 20% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking.
» Remaining 80% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure of the tour.
b) In case of Group and Charter:-
» 50% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking.
» Remaining 50% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure of the tour.
Cancellation Policy :
a) In case of FITs:-
» 5% of ticket value 60 days or more prior to departure.
» 20% of ticket value between 45 to 59 days prior to departure.
» 50% of ticket value between 30 to 44 days prior to departure.
» 100% of ticket value 30 days prior to departure.
b) In case of Group and Charter:-
» 20% of ticket value 89 days prior to departure.
» 50% of ticket value between 88 to 31 days prior to departure.
» 100% of ticket value 30 days prior to departure.
No show/ En route termination of tour/amendment:-
» No Show - In case of No Show / Non-arrival of the guest, no refund or adjustment in future travel will be possible. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited.
» En route termination of tour - In case of termination of tour by the guest, for any reasons, no refund or adjustment for future travel will be possible. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited.
» Amendment - Is only possible under the circumstances like Natural Disaster / Natural Calamity or Serious Health Problem's (this needs to be supported by doctor's certificate) and is subject to availability. No refunds are possible and every case be decided on merits on a case to case basis.
