Lohagarh
An epitome of strength, Lohagarh Fort was the invincible feat of Jat rulers of the region. Constructed by Maharaja Suraj Mal, this iron fort was one of the strongest ever edifices in Indian history. Thus, it can be said that this fort’s creative and well coordinated defense system only prevented British forces to penetrate in the region. Even after repeated attacks, this strong edifice continued to boast the glory of being unconquered.
Different from the other gaudy counterparts, Lohagarh is a monument enshrining strength and magnificence. Mathura - Vrindavan – Just 39 km away from Bharatpur, Mathura or Brajbhoomi is a prime spiritual center for Hindus. The birthplace of Lord Krishna, it is one of the seven sacred cities in India. The main pilgrim center in Mathura is the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple. On the other side of Yamuna is Vrindavan, where Lord Krishna performed his childhood miracles and antics of dancing with Gopis and his beloved, Radha. The hamlet is also a home to a number of temples dedicated to Radhe-Krishna.
